Canterbury Cove - a BaCC: Week Seven - Carnahan 3
Photobucket
Uhh... hi! You guys probably think I am a dirty rotten liar now about how much work I have during school, but I swear I am telling the truth. For some reason it just seems that I have so much more time to play now! In fact, I didn't have any classes today, though I usually have two. So I suppose the college gods are smiling upon me lately. =D

Photobucket
So, this is what being an adult feels like. It's funny, I really don't feel any differently than I did a week ago, but I guess that really doesn't matter.

Photobucket
I'm sure you recognize this house, it used to belong to the Albrecht family. I was able to buy it for a really great price.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket
Of course, I spent some time redecorating and moving my own stuff in, and I think it looks really nice now and it feels like my home.

Photobucket

Photobucket
I was worried that I was going to be lonely, so I bought a womrat to keep me company and I named him Snuggles. I think he is so adorable.

Photobucket
Now, we need to clear some things up here... before I tell you anything more about my week.

Photobucket
I know you heard about me trying to flirt with Richard, and you probably have a bad image of me.

Photobucket
Especially since I seemed to be flirting with everyone.

Photobucket
And then I kissed my sister's ex-boyfriend at her wedding... while wearing a white dress...
I know that may make me look bad, but I swear I'm not some sort of flirt. The truth is that I just missed the man that I am in love with. Now, you may be wondering who that is, since you don't know. It was this boy that I met while we were on vacation in Twikii Island named Marc Greene. I would show you a picture, but they all got lost. Anyway, I really missed him and I guess I was just looking for reassurance in the wrong places.

Photobucket
Well, when I called him up and asked him if he would like to come and visit me, he seemed really excited and showed up as quickly as he could.

Photobucket
I hugged him and whispered in his ear that I really missed him.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket
And well, I guess we kind of got caught up in the moment because now he has moved in with me and we are engaged to be married.

Photobucket

(Marc Greene - Family Sim)

Photobucket
He and Snuggles even get along.

Photobucket
Marc and I had missed each other so much, that we didn't even want to wait to start our lives as a married couple. I was happy to see that my sister hadn't harbored a grudge against me about wearing a white dress, and that her dress was a nice deep shade of blue.

Photobucket
We had to have the wedding inside because it was pouring outside, but I really didn't mind. So we set everything up in the spare bedroom.

And just like that, I became Becca Greene! Marc and I were both very happy.

Photobucket
And my family and friends seemed quite happy for me as well.

Everyone had a great time at the wedding. It was really nice to see my family. I know that my parents don't have too long left so I wanted to make sure that I spend a lot of time with them.

Photobucket

Photobucket
After everyone left, Marc and I spent some alone time together.

Photobucket
And well... I'm sure you can put 2 and 2 together.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket
I started writing in my free time in order to earn some more money. Neither of us had a job, and Marc couldn't join the police force, even though he wanted to, because there was only a budget for one law enforcement person in our town.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket
So Marc decided to buy a garden store since he is very interested in Nature and called it Greene's, a sort of play on our last name.

He worked very hard, and I could tell that he enjoyed doing it.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket
It wasn't too long before I started to show. Marc was ecstatic about having a child. He just told me that I had better not have quads like my sister. I promised him that it was very unlikely that that would happen.

Photobucket
Although, I was starting to get pretty big...

Photobucket
Marc asked me on a date since we hadn't been on a proper one since we were teens.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket
We went to my sister's new store, Gamer's Cove, and we really had a lot of fun and made some new friends.

Photobucket
Later that night, after we got back, I went into labor.

Photobucket
(Elizabeth)

Photobucket
(Lathen)

Photobucket
(Franchesca)
Technically, I kept my promise... I just had triplets instead. Two girls, Elizabeth and Franchesca, and a boy, Lathen.

Photobucket
Marc didn't care though. It turns out that he actually likes having so many babies. Although they are rather hard to take care of.

Photobucket
Marc's store was doing so well, that soon he had to hire a cashier to help him with the customers. He was really lucky, and he found a nice young girl who already knew how to use the cash register.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket
With the money that he earned, he was able to improve the look of his store, and get some more items to sell. The rest of the money is going to go toward a new house. There is no way that five people will be able to live in this tiny two room house.

Photobucket
I can't believe that I've been so lucky to find someone like Marc who has the same goals as I do. I'm really glad that he didn't move on, even though the odds of us being together were against us since he lived so far away and we were only teens when we met. There must be some sort of creator being out there who really cares for me.

- Yepp, triplets! And right after I had quads too... *sigh* Just my luck. Hopefully there will be NO more multiples for awhile.
- Marc Greene was a teen tourist townie whom Becca dated while she was on vacation. You may remember that I lost the pictures of their vacation, well that was one of the things that happened. They had three bolts together so I decided to grow him up for her. They are really cute together and I think he has a unique facial structure.
- Becca actually has three bolts for Abrianna's husband, Stephan, as well. I tried to put them in each others' friend zone, but it turns out that they see each other as related and can't interact anyway, which is nice. It's weird because Abrianna only has one bolt for Marc.
- My boyfriend helped me name the triples. :) Sometimes he likes to watch me play. I tried to get him to play once, but he didn't seem too interested. He's just going to stick to WoW.

Anyway, thanks for reading guys! :)

Snuggles! :P So glad Becca found her prince charming! Marc is a cutie! Well, at least you didn't get quads again! Thank goodness there was no drama with Stephan.
olivethegreat: neighborhoodolivethegreat on May 27th, 2011 03:17 am (UTC)
Wow, you sure are a speedy reader. :)
I love Marc. I don't know what it is about him, but he's just really cute.
I know! Although triplets are just about as bad haha.
I am glad as well... I'm pretty sure that Stephan is actually her highest match. =/
bacc_krowbacc_krow on May 27th, 2011 03:51 am (UTC)
Lol, for a moment there I thought she was going to have quads! How fortunate that it was just triplets. XD I hope they find a good house for the family.

Greene's is a really unique looking store, having a greenhouse roof is a cool idea. It's great that it climbed the ranks so quickly. :)
olivethegreat: treasure chestolivethegreat on May 27th, 2011 04:01 am (UTC)
Yeah, I must say my mouth was wide open when I saw that there were TWO babies on the way... I had a feeling it wasn't just twins. I've actually got a house in mind for them that I built awhile ago but never used. I think it will have more than enough room for them and it's not too expensive either.

Thank you! I thought it would be cute because of their last name. I like having the green house roof during the day because of all the sunlight, but it's kind of a pain at night because it doesn't get lit up like a regular room since the game thinks it is outside so I had to put in a ton of lights.

After playing so many businesses, I think I've got the hang of leveling them, which is pretty nice.
bacc_krowbacc_krow on May 27th, 2011 04:12 am (UTC)
Yeah, I can see how that would be really annoying. :C

I should really add more businesses to Krow, lol. XD

Looking forward to the house move. :D
olivethegreatolivethegreat on May 27th, 2011 04:15 am (UTC)
I've been trying to give at least one business to every family. I really want to work on progressing and since I need five businesses for every business district, I need to get a lot of businesses! I'm not really trying to necessarily win the challenge, because it's pretty difficult and I only know of a couple of people who have done it, but I would definitely like to make a good effort of it.
I just don't know how I am going to think up enough original and interesting businesses...
bacc_krowbacc_krow on May 27th, 2011 04:33 am (UTC)
I'm sure you'll manage. :) There's so many different aspects to the game, and so many possible themes that I think you'll do fine. You could always brainstorm and make a list, and add/subtract ideas as you play. That's what I did, it's worked well so far.
olivethegreatolivethegreat on May 27th, 2011 04:34 am (UTC)
That is a really good idea, I will have to do that. :)
flatpack on May 27th, 2011 06:54 am (UTC)
I think the multiples are just a Carnahan thing. :D

Wow, that garden business sure flew up those business ranks! Can't wait to see what else unfolds for the family.
olivethegreat: lighthouseolivethegreat on May 27th, 2011 07:58 am (UTC)
Yeah, that is what I am starting to think too. So far three out of three pregnancies have resulted in multiples in the Carnahan family line.

Yeah, I was kind of surprised at how well it was doing. I think I've just gotten a lot of practice with all of the businesses that I have now.
untidyfanuntidyfan on May 27th, 2011 07:08 am (UTC)
Congrats on the triplets? Greene's looks like a lovely shop.

Becca makes the cutest faces at the Don't Wake the Llama table.

Boyfriends are so strange - I can't imagine watching someone else play TS2. Long ago, when I first got the game, I made a neighborhood for my ex. He played for about a week and just got bored. Meanwhile, I'm still playing six years later.
olivethegreat: devon liemanolivethegreat on May 27th, 2011 08:02 am (UTC)
Thanks haha. Yeah, I enjoyed making it.

Yeah! She looks like she is going to kill someone if she doesn't win. Maybe it was the hormones.

Yes, they really are. He doesn't watch me for long periods of time, but sometimes when he isn't doing something and I start to talk about something in the game he will wander over and watch me for a few minutes.
jungfrun68jungfrun68 on May 27th, 2011 10:32 am (UTC)
The wallpaper of the spare bedroom are just hysterical! I love them!

And, uh, is this family really trying to fill the world on their own?! ;)
olivethegreatolivethegreat on May 27th, 2011 03:12 pm (UTC)
You know, maybe they are secretly trying to take over all of Canterbury Cove.
Among the Chaos: Samantha Spellthorneeien_herrison on May 27th, 2011 01:44 pm (UTC)
Ahaha, well, having had quads before you should be able to manage with a set of quads + a set of triplets (although I won't blame you if you don't look too kindly on this and the previous household for a while). The one good thing about having multiples is the instant population boost, but I agree with you in hoping you don't have too many multiples too soon.
olivethegreat: charlatanolivethegreat on May 27th, 2011 03:32 pm (UTC)
Yeah, it is nice. I was just thinking that I was going to maybe try to limit the number of children that sims have unless they specifically have wants for a certain amount, or possibly if they are family sims. Then these two households went and ruined that from the get-go. Oh well. =P
chickadeeleechickadeelee on May 27th, 2011 06:45 pm (UTC)
What a cute little family they have become! I've never tried the triplets and quads hack, so I don't know how hard raising 3 or 4 babies would be...but I can tell you that I still have a hard time when one of my sims has twins! Also, that hack seems to give multiples a lot of the time, or is that not true? I prefer one baby at a time, but I love seeing other simmers handle 3 or 4! Also, I love their Greene store. Very cute building and wonderful idea!
olivethegreat: abrianna carnahanolivethegreat on May 27th, 2011 08:51 pm (UTC)
Thank you!
Triplets and quads can be extremely difficult to take care of, especially when they are toddlers. I would say that they are more than twice as hard as taking care of twins. I like the challenge, but yes, it does seem that I am getting multiples quite often. I think I already have the chances pretty low, but I think I am going to lower them even more.
Thanks. I quite like it as well. :)
xbeccyx on May 28th, 2011 01:35 am (UTC)
HEY! My name's Becca! :DD Or well, my nickname is. :P
I have been so tempted to say that ever since Becca was born, but I forgot about it when other parts in your update took over, ;)
Triplets! :D I have yet to have quads in my BACC. Only Mary and Timothy Love have had triplets, and I keep forgetting about them so I keep wanting to say that I haven't have triplets yet, either. >.>
I can't wait to see how the babies turn out! :D
olivethegreat: jackie carnahanolivethegreat on May 28th, 2011 01:40 am (UTC)
I didn't even think of that. =P
Thanks! I can't wait either. So many babies will be growing up next week, Tansy's baby will be born and will age to toddler, and both Abrianna and Becca's babies will grow up as well. I cannot wait. :)
Attic Box: L1atticbox on May 28th, 2011 05:04 am (UTC)
Becca and Marc make an adorable couple. :) And wow, triplets! Both the parents and you are going to be quite busy.

I really like their garden store. That is a really neat idea to open up a shop and sell gardening supplies and the like. A very clever idea!
olivethegreatolivethegreat on May 28th, 2011 05:31 am (UTC)
Thank you! Yeah, and especially with the quads right before this family. So I will be very busy next round. :)

I like it too. I think it looks cute. Thank you.

Marc Greene! I squeed so hard when i read that name!

Anyway, I wanted to say, i'm quite amazed at everything your sims manage to do in their lifetime! They do at least 5x more than any of my sims!I'm especially impressed at how fast you seem to be building up your businesses and badges. Especially your businesses that aren't stores. I can't seem to be able to get mine to take off. See, Talia (You remember Talia? The youngest of the Dunham kids?), after getting a rank 10 on her home business of fresh fruits and veggies (my first time getting a rank 10!) bought a park. Now I put all sorts of things that normally, in a house, visitors are attracted to (e.i. mahjong table, pool, basketball hoop, lake to fish, boombox, playground, chess set, grill to eat, bathroom) and yet they won't interact with any of them and usually leave after an hour. And the ones that do stick it takes them at least 12 sims hours to get a star. Very annoying!

So, yeah, i'm very impressed by all that you accomplish! Especially with so many multiples!
olivethegreat: treasure chestolivethegreat on July 19th, 2011 06:37 pm (UTC)
Thanks! I think the downside to my sims getting so much done is that they never get to live their lives on free will. I am such a control freak. =P Venue businesses are extremely difficult to level. I would say that to get one level at a venue takes at least twice the amount of time that it does at a store. I don't really have any tips for venues other than buying things that attract sims which you have already done. I find that once you level a bit more and have more sims coming at once that the stars come faster. Also, make sure you are using sales interactions to sell the tickets because that helps to earn stars as well, especially when your sims can dazzle.

I'm catching up on th Cove stories!

I love your decorating - I stink at it, and admire those who are good at it :)

I had wondered how to run a garden or nursery shop. You've given me some ideas - thanks!
olivethegreat: abrianna carnahanolivethegreat on October 20th, 2011 05:01 pm (UTC)
Thank you! I've actually been getting most of my decorating practice from playing this neighborhood. I have been trying really hard to improve both my building and decorating skills.
Glad I could help! I really like the Greene's store because I think the greenhouse looks neat.
Thanks for reading. :)
